  • Drop in to Virtual Peer Advising to create your college resume and learn about CPD's resources
  • Login to Handshake to complete your profile, select career interest areas, and view upcoming events and internship opportunities
  • Bookmark the Career and Professional Development website to stay updated on workshops, fairs and expos, programs, internships and job opportunities 
  • Follow Career and Professional Development on Twitter and Instagram, and like us on Facebook to stay up-to-date on all programs, resources and opportunities 
  • Schedule an appointment with a Career Coach via Handshake to discuss your career interests and explore internship opportunities
  • Apply for a First-Year student specific national or international fellowship that provides academic and professional experience related to your career goals
  • Visit LMU’s Health Professions Advising page to learn more about the career path to healthcare and medicine
  • Visit What Can I Do With This Major? and LMU’s Academic Catalog to understand how your choice of major will affect your job search
  • Gain clarity about your personality, career interests, and strengths by taking a career assessment
  • Create a LinkedIn profile to keep track of your college accomplishments and begin researching LMU alumni career paths by major
  • Join and explore The Pride, LMU’s platform for connecting with alumni for mentorship and career guidance. This platform is exclusive to the LMU community, and you can search for alumni based on industry, affinity, areas in which you need help, shared involvement in campus organizations, and more
  • Attend a CPD workshop to brush up on resumes, internship search strategies, networking, and LinkedIn
  • Attend the Annual Community Service Fair to learn about service opportunities and our industry-specific events to discover career options
  • Join a weekend or week-long service-immersion trip to reflect on your personal values
