As a Senior, we recommend developing a nine-month career plan, meeting with CPD frequently to help guide you to your intended post-graduate goal. Below are some ideas for progressing along your four-year Career Action Plan.

  • Meet regularly with CPD Career Coaches to conduct mock-interviews and develop your networking strategy, seeking feedback on your communication with alumni, parents, and companies of interest
  • Update your LinkedIn profile with new accomplishments and continue researching LMU alumni career paths and companies of interest
  • Login to Handshake to set up a job search agent to track opportunities of interest, and monitor On-Campus Recruiting activities, such as employer information sessions, companies conducting interviews on campus, and preparation workshops
  • Join and explore The Pride, LMU’s platform for connecting with alumni for mentorship and career guidance. This platform is exclusive to the LMU community, and you can search for alumni based on industry, affinity, areas in which you need help, shared involvement in campus organizations, and more
  • Attend our industry-specific events to explore job and internship opportunities at companies that recruit at LMU
  • Apply for a Senior-specific national or international fellowship that provides academic and professional experience related to your career goals
  • Join the LinkedIn LMU Official Alumni Association group to connect with thousands of Lions working at companies and fields of interest
  • Visit the LMU bookstore to order your cap and gown for Commencement
  • Schedule an appointment with a CPD Career Coach to practice negotiating your salary and strategize on how to successfully evaluate competing offers
  • Attend the After LMU: Cap and Gown Pick-Up to inform LMU of your post-graduate plans, pick-up your Commencement regalia, and celebrate all that you have accomplished at LMU!
