Alumni
Alumni can play a vital role with LMU Career and Professional Development (CPD) by mentoring, speaking, and connecting. They can share career journeys, offer advice, and welcome students to informational interviews, networking events, and job shadowing. By advocating for internships and recruitment programs, alumni help bridge the gap between academics and professional careers, preparing LMU students for the workforce.
Community Organizations
Community organizations can collaborate with LMU CPD by offering volunteer and internship opportunities, providing students with hands-on experience and a chance to give back. All LMU students are encouraged to engage in socially impactful service work. These organizations can participate in career fairs, workshops, and seminars focused on nonprofit and public sector careers. They help students develop skills, build resumes, and explore community service careers, while benefiting from the energy and enthusiasm of LMU students.

By participating in career fairs, employer panels, and information sessions, your team can connect directly with LMU students. Offer internships, co-op programs, entry-level positions, and partner on capstone projects with LMU. Hosting site visits as part of CPD’s Career Treks program provides valuable experiential learning opportunities.
