Cap, Gown, and Beyond: Your Next Chapter Starts Here
As you prepare for Commencement 2025, join us for special events designed to celebrate your achievements and provide essential resources and services. These gatherings not only equip you with what you need for graduation day but also foster a sense of community and pride among graduates.
All graduating students are invited to celebrate your accomplishments as an LMU student before Commencement 2025. Pick up or order your cap and gown and learn about the various ways to stay involved with LMU as you transition from student to alumni.

LMU Campus Bookstore
Please arrive anytime during the times listed to the Campus Bookstore located in the Von der Ahe Building, Basement Level. Here is a map for directions.
Please bring a photo ID and allow approximately 15 minutes to:
- Complete a brief survey on your post-graduation plans. This information will help Career and Professional Development support your next steps after LMU.
- Pick-up your pre-ordered cap and gown (you can purchase at this event if you did not previously; credit-card is accepted)
- Get information about Commencement Weekend and campus resources
- Grab your free gift from the Alumni Association and learn about ways to stay connected
- Cap and gown is required for Commencement
- Career and Professional Development: CPD Career Coaches will administer a post-graduation survey for future programming, offer alumni career resources, and provide lifelong CPD access.
- Financial Aid: Get financial literacy information and student loan repayment assistance from Financial Aid representatives.
- Graduate Admission: Explore LMU’s master’s, certificate, credential, and doctoral programs across various fields to enhance your career prospects.
- GradImages: Capture complimentary Commencement photos in your regalia and learn about ordering image packages.
- LMU Bookstore and Herff Jones: Meet staff for cap and gown fittings, diploma frames, announcements, and personalized LMU rings with event discounts.
- LMU Alumni Association: Learn about staying connected post-graduation through mentoring, Ambassador programs, and global events.
- Registrar’s Office: Find out about 2024 Commencement Ceremonies and get answers to ceremony-related queries.
- Student Affairs: Join senior events like Places You’ve Never Been Tours and Senior Sunset to conclude your Student EXP journey.
- University Credit Union: Access financial education, expert guidance, and competitive loan rates tailored for recent graduates at ucu.org/lmu.

Regalia Details:
- Bachelor’s Degree Candidates: Wear a black gown, cap, black tassel, and hood with velvet trim matching their degree subject. Check the Commencement website for hood specifics.
- Master’s Degree Candidates: Wear a black gown, cap, gold tassel, and hood with velvet trim matching their degree subject (e.g., Education majors wear a light blue velvet trim).
- Doctoral Degree Candidates: Wear an LMU crimson robe with LMU gray velvet and LMU blue trim, along with an LMU crimson tam with a silver tassel. Refer to the Commencement website for hood details.
- Loyola Law School Candidates: All LLS grads must order regalia from the LLS Commencement site.
