Big Interview

Career and Professional Development (CPD) want to ensure you feel confident sharing your story, being an active listener, and overall, a strong conversationalist. We encourage you to practice developing more comfort in your storytelling and connecting with professionals through mock interviews.

Big Interview provides LMU students and alumni on-demand access to interview practice and a library of pre-recorded interview questions categorized by industry, competency, and circumstance to refine your in-person and virtual interviewing skills. This platform can be used for preparing for internship, employment or graduate/professional school interviews.

How to Use Big Interview – Students & Alumni

  1. Students: Login using this link with your LMU username and password 
  2. Alumni: Register using this link with your personal email address
  3. Students: Complete a CPD practice interview; Alumni: Explore options for what type of interview suits you best; options include but not limited to:
  4. Record and save your answers 
  5. Submit the completed interview 
  6. Self-Review your recorded answers

How do I book an interview prep appointment?

You can make an interview prep appointment with a Career and Professional Development (CPD) Career Coach in Handshake. Prior to the start of your appointment, we encourage you to complete a CPD Practice Interview in Big Interview using the instructions above. A Career Coach will be able to review your recording and provide you with feedback.

How do I start a practice interview based on my field or industry?

Once logged into Big Interview, go to the Interviews drop down next to My Dashboard. Click Question Library and select By Industry on the left side. There you can choose a practice interview that aligns with your industry.

Can I use this platform as an alumnus?

Yes. You can access the platform using this link. Be sure to register in the top right corner and use your non-LMU email address.
