How to Purchase CliftonStrengths Assessment for Your Students

CliftonStrengths is grounded in Positive Psychology and created by Gallup’s Higher Education Division. This assessment can help students identify and develop their strengths by building on their natural talents – the way in which they most naturally think, feel, and behave as unique individuals. 

Note: CPD does not purchase CliftonStrengths codes for groups. See below for more details on how to purchase your students codes or how they can purchase their code on their own. The cost of the CliftonStrengths assessment is about $22-25 per person depending on where you purchase your assessment code. See below for more details.

Step 1: Purchase the Assessment

  1. Option 1: Purchase the CliftonStrengths Assessment through the LMU Bookstore
    • The LMU bookstore can order the Clifton Strengths book (which has the assessment code embedded). It takes about a week for the books to arrive. Please contact the bookstore directly if you want to set up a bulk purchase. Their phone number is (310) 338-2889
    • This option may be preferable if you need to use department funds to purchase the book in bulk
  2. Option 2: Purchase the CliftonStrengths Assessment directly from Gallup(digital report only)
    • The cost is $25 with about 10% off at 10 books plus tax and free shipping. This option is best if you want your students to take the assessment immediately.
    • This option does not come with a physical book describing all 34 themes (which is not necessary for them to understand their results). With this purchase, each student will receive a digital in-depth analysis of their top five strengths right away.
  3. Option 3:Purchase the CliftonStrengths Assessment through Amazon (book included)
    • This option comes with the CliftonStrenghts book (which has the assessment code embedded) that describes all 34 themes. You’ll need to wait for the books to come in before they can take the assessment.

Step 2: CliftonStrengths Results Interpretations

  • Option 1: Have your students meet with CPD one-on-one
    • After your students complete their assessment, they can make an appointment with CPD to go over their results one-on-one with a certified CliftonStrengths career coach.
  • Option 2: Request a CPD CliftonStrengths Workshop
    • CPD can come to you (online or in-person) and we can facilitate an interactive group workshop discussing CliftonStrengths and their results. You can book a CPD Clifton Strengths workshop here.
    • NOTE: CPD needs at least 3 weeks’ notice for Clifton Strengths workshop requests and students MUST complete the assessment and have access to their results before the workshop begins.
