Cap and Gown Pick-Up: Graduating Students

All graduating students (seniors, masters, and doctoral) are invited to celebrate your accomplishments as an LMU student before Commencement 2022. Pick up your cap and gown and learn about ways to stay involved as you transition from student to alumni.

Please arrive anytime during the times listed below.

Tuesday, April 5 - Thursday, April 7 | 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. PST

Friday, April 8| 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. PST

St. Robert's Auditorium

Bring your OneCard and allow approximately 15 minutes to: 

    • Complete a brief survey on your post-graduation plans and goals. This information will help Career and Professional Development support your next steps after LMU. 
    • Pick-up your pre-ordered cap and gown (you can purchase at this event if you did not previously; credit-card accepted)
    • Get information about Commencement Weekend
    • Grab your free gift from the LMU Alumni Association and learn more about ways to stay connected 
    • Cap and gown required for Commencement

Who will be there?

LMU Bookstore and Herff Jones

The LMU Bookstore has partnered with Herff Jones to provide you with all your graduation needs. Staff will be available to assist with fitting your cap and gown, selecting your diploma frame, or ordering your graduation announcements. A Herff Jones ring specialist will be on-site from 10am-3pm each day of AfterLMU to assist with personalizing your LMU ring to your college experience. Craft your ring as a symbol of your achievement and a reminder of all your LMU memories. Discounts will be available at this event.
Please note: Completion of a post-graduation survey is required before you may pick up your pre-ordered cap and gown. If you did not preorder, you may purchase everything you need at this event.

Career and Professional Development

CPD Career Coaches will be on hand to administer the post-graduation survey you will take upon entering the event. This information will be used for future programming and services to support LMU alumni. For students still seeking post-graduation plans, information on alumni career resources and guides will be available.  

LMU Alumni Association

We are excited to celebrate with you, and welcome you into the Alumni Association! Staff will be present to share with you the many ways that you can stay connected to LMU after graduation. From mentoring, to Ambassador programs, to Global Happy Hours, we can’t wait for you to become a part of our remarkable alumni network!

Registrar’s Office

The Office of the Registrar will have information about the 2022 Commencement Ceremonies and be available to answer questions. 

Financial Aid

Financial Aid representatives will be on hand to provide financial literacy information as well as assist with any questions regarding student loan repayment options.

Student Affairs

Cap off your Student EXP journey by participating in one of the senior-only events this spring!  Student Affairs staff will be present to answer questions and help you register for the senior events including Places You’ve Never Been Tours, Senior Sunset, and the cultural graduation celebrations.

Graduate Admission

Graduate Admission is excited to celebrate your accomplishment! If graduate studies are in your future, our staff will be available to help you plan your next steps.
